Itinerary

Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at the Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a Jen Mitchell Travel representative who will assist you with airport formalities, including customs and immigration. Following luggage collection, you will be further escorted to your driver for your private road transfer to the Hemingway's Nairobi (approx. drive time: 45mins).

Accommodations will be reserved for two nights. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure.

This morning after breakfast, you will be met by a Jen Mitchell Travel guide who will be at your disposal for the day to explore Nairobi in a private vehicle. Stops will include a public visit at the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage at 11:00am. Enjoy optional shopping or visits to the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum, Utamaduni Craft Center and Matbronze. Please note that with the exception of the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, all entrance fees are not included. Meals and drinks are also not included and must be paid for directly. A public visit to Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage may be requested 3 months in advance of your tour by Jen Mitchell Travel. Please note that tickets are limited for this visit, and it is not possible to guarantee a visit until reserved.

Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage: This viewing is an educational visit. All the orphans are at the Nairobi Nursery for the first three years and then they are translocated to one of the Reintegration Units in Tsavo National Park, where they start to be reintroduced to the wild. This visit is an introduction to these orphans and the work that is done by the Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Each of the orphans come down to the mud bath, they have their milk and then they settle down at the water hole or at their greens. Feeding the orphans is not permitted as only the Keepers are allowed to do so. Should the orphans approach the cordoned off area, visitors are able to interact with them to a limited degree. On warmer days, the orphans can be quite playful, they are allowed to do what they please as they all have their own temperaments. Some days they aren’t as playful as others. There is enough space for visitors to practice social distancing during this visit.

Following your day of exploration, you will be transferred back the hotel. Enjoy the remainder of your evening at leisure.

This morning after breakfast and checkout, at a time to be advised, you will be met by a Jen Mitchell Travel representative for your private road transfer to the Nairobi Wilson Airport (approx. drive time: 30mins).

Upon arrival at the airport, you will check-in for your private light aircraft flight in two Cessna 208 Grand Caravans to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a camp representative and transferred to Tambarare Camp.

Accommodations will be reserved for three nights. This afternoon, join your guides for a safari activity in private vehicles. Lunch and dinner will be served at camp.

This morning after breakfast, at a time to be advised by camp management, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your private light aircraft flight in two Cessna 208 Grand Caravans to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred to Lewa Wilderness.

Accommodations will be reserved for three nights. This afternoon, join your guides for a safari activity in private vehicles. Lunch and dinner will be served at the lodge.

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a camp representative and transferred to Cottar's 1920.

Accommodations will be reserved for three nights. This afternoon, join your guides for a safari activity in private vehicles. Lunch and dinner will be served at camp.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by a Jen Mitchell Travel representative for your private transfer to Hemingways Nairobi (approx. drive time: 30mins).

Accommodations will be reserved for use of 9 Deluxe Day Rooms where you will have the chance to relax and refresh before your departure.

This evening, you will be met by a Jen Mitchell Travel representative for your private transfer to the Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (approx. drive time: 45mins).

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be assisted with check-in for your commercial flights home. Commercial flights are not included in land costs.
